New York's Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have revealed the specifics behind their forthcoming album.
Some Loud Thunder will be released as a digital download on January 16th, with the CD to come lagging cumbersomely behind some two weeks later. If that wasn't insult enough to the ailing format, paying downloaders will get the CD for free. Zilch.
'Ere's woss on it:
'Some Loud Thunder'
'Emily Jean Stock'
'Mama, Won't You Keep Them Castles in the Air and Burning?'
'Love Song No. 7'
'Satan Said Dance'
'Upon Encountering the Crippled Elephant'
'Goodbye to Mother And The Cove'
'Arm And Hammer'
'Yankee Go Home'
'Underwater (You and Me)'
'Five Easy Pieces'
I'll be buying this
The backlash to the hype for the first one detracts from the fact that it was actually a pretty good album
i don't know,
i'm prepared to be vastly underwhelmed by this. 'love song no. 7' and 'underwater (you and me)' don't seem particularly amazing.
This band are going to be HUGE
they are playing Brixton Academy next year.
yay!
i love 'em.
hooray!
something to beat the post-christmas blues for sure.
cant wait!
...
'some loud thunder' (song) sounds good from their tour EP, but the album version of 'satan said dance' is disappointing. and the two tracks carrotrope notes above are a little slow. who knows what the rest'll be like.
youaintnopicasso has a few mp3s. check 'em.
.
I just stuck on the first album just now, it's not as annoying as I first thought it was. Might be a grower!
the first track
on the new one sounds like it was recorded in a an empty tin. you will believe that your CD player is broken or you ears are rubbish.
sweet, but
where's psycho killer on that tracklisting???
kidding, i love them
