Home Alone

end thread

what about

home alone 2

first one is the best.

second, good, but not AS good.

not Strictly a Christmas film

but I always find that Trading Places puts me in good festive cheer

It's set around christmas

if we can have them I also like about a boy

Gremlins

Scroodged

GREMLINS!

nah, home alone is still better. especially for the score.

gremlins

good call

Elf is good

I find it hard to keep a straight face watching Will Ferrel - although his new film looks a bit wanky jus like bewitched

Home Alone, definitely

Die Hard
Bernard And The Genie

what the hell

is bernard and the genie

Alan Cumming and Lenny Henry

you bellend.

never heard of it

you tosser

Play nicely you two

or I'm keeping your Friends of the Bride singles forever.

Bernard & The Genie was shown on the BBC in the early 90s, and was written by Richard Curtis. I like it a lot.

I've seen it about 15 times.

I used to love it.

Take out my eyeballs and fry them in ginger, that is UNBELIEVABLE!

I still have it on video somewhere, it's really not Christmas until I've watched it.

oh yes Die Hard 2

especially when the snow starts to fall on the crumpled aircraft remains.

very

festive that bit

edward scissorhands

i watch it every year without fail and cry like a child.

snowman

not a film but used to watch that every year and struggled to hold back the tears

yeah

whats your point, im just in touch with my emotional side - you must have welled up like a baby once?

Christmas = White Christmas

The only film I watch EVERY single christmas withour fail

Muppet's Christmas Carol

Home Alone and to a lesser extent Home Alone 2. Although the bit in Home Alone 2 when the family is in that huge hotel suite at the end with the big christmas tree out-christmasses the first film.

And Miracle on 34th Street with Richard Attenbrough as Chris Cringle himself.

i second

the muppet's christmas carol. possibly the only thing i look forward to at christmas.

followed closely by home alone 1 and 2. yesss this christmas i have ALL THREE on dvd.

Scrooged is quality though

one of Bill Murray's funniest performances.

I want to see Bad Santa again, I remember it being very funny.

Jingle All The Way

by miles.

The Polar Express

Seriously - I challenge you not to feel christmassy after watching it.

I also saw Bad Santa last night

for the first time, I thought it was hilarious! "I'M ON MY FUCKING LUNCH BREAK!!"

its bloody brilliant

billy bob thornton is well funny

That bernadette the genie

doesnt look very christmasy

i've got a real soft spot

for It's A Wonderful Life.

Home Alone!

amazing.

Scrooged

It's A Wonderful Life
Edward Scissorhands

and I used to love a Jim Henson film called The Christmas Toy, does anyone remember it? They reused the story for Toy Story - the Buzz Lightyear character was a She-Ra type doll, and the Woody character was a tiger called Rugby.

I remember that

back in the day!

does lenny henry

in bernadette the genie go 'OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY'

I watched Scrooged on Sunday night

tbh, it wasn't quite as good as I'd remembered.

I watched Holiday Inn last week. That was...alright.

Muppets Christmas Carol is really where it's at.

I have a feeling Scrooged

won't be as funny as I remember it to be.

Surely it's still funny when he tells them to staple the antlers to the mice?

it is quite funny...

though i KNOW my new favourite christmas film will be

BLACK CHRISTMAS

hahaha

it is still as funny, don't worry

I watched it last Christmas.

Yeah, it's pretty funny

but it's no Ghostbusters

home alone!

i have one and two on dvd. honourable mention goes to the nightmare before christmas.

No contest

It's A Wonderful Life

The End

^^^^^^

this.

but nightmare before christmas is a good call too.

Clash of the Titans

Jason and the Argonauts

not exactly that christmassy,

but they are ALWAYS on.

The Grinch

also.

Has there ever been

a science fiction/christmas themed film? If not one should so be made

It is Home Alone

Obviously, this thread should have ended 52 posts ago.

ummm

well a nightmare before christmas, or maybe a muppets christmas carol.

oh no wait

gremlins

Scrooge (with Albert Finney)

Nightmare before Christmas
It's a wonderful life
