It was good. The Pixies finished and a large number of people stayed for a few minutes afterwards chanting 'Fuck the Stereophonics' before the cricket ground emptied. Goldfrapp were playing before them too! It was a bad day.
Rival Schools supporting A a few years back
was fairly ridiculous. But I think Cursive supporing !FR! beats it.

was Terris supported by Coldplay. Although to be fair at that point no-one had heard of Coldplay and Terris were on the front cover of the NME. Where are they now, etc.

Radiohead supported Sultans of Ping FC at the Pink Toothbrush in Rayleigh, Essex back in the day, I wasnt there but the promoter was telling me all about their glory days.
They also had Spiritualized supporting Spacemen 3 (just as J Spaceman was starting Spiritualized but was still in S3), Dave Fridman did the sound that night too.
I saw the Moldy Peaches
at the Venue in Edinburgh in 2001. They were great. The Strokes were headlining, and were pretty dull. I think we left before they'd finished.

I also saw kaiser chiefs supporting franz ferdinand before the kaisers were properly "big". They were much better then. He was chucking the mic stand all over the place and jumping around instead of the swooning he does nowadays.
