Dylan to lose his direction again?

Ananova has reported that Bob Dylan is in talks to produce a sequel to the Martin Scorsese-helmed documentary No Direction Home. The executive producer of the two-part film, Susan Lacy, said that preliminary discussions were already happening. No Direction Home was aired on the BBC earlier this week, leading to a massive increase in the public's interest in Dylan (HMV, for example, was offering album bundles in their sale).
No Direction Home follows Dylan's career until 1966; a follow up would surely bring the tale up to date, focusing on Dylan's recent return-to-form records.
Viewing figures for the documentary, which was also shown in the US, are said to be "fabulous".

hmm i have a feeling it would just be up to blood on the tracks and possibly desire. that way you'd get the crash, john wesley harding (cue: hendrix clips), nashville (cue: johnny cash), going all weird and retreating with self portrait and new morning, filming pat garrett, back with the band on planet waves and then could end with blood and desire. i really doubt it would end on something like street legal, and it would definitely not do the christian period. maybe they would continute to talk about oh mercy, time out of mind, etc, but the big christian gap would be a bit noticeable methinks. -

basement tapes would also take up quite a sizeable chunk. It should end with Time Out of Mind, a brilliant album and some brilliant gigs round that time. Love & Theft was a bit disappointing in my opinion. Could be a lot of dodgy footage in between although the "official" bootleg album of the desire tour was fantastic.
The Christian gap would be noticeable, but few people would complain about that.... -

hm i think it would be a great idea to do a sequal. dylan of course will keep tight controls as to what goes in and what doesn't.
why would they leave out the gospel period altogether? slow train's one of his biggest sellers, and at least the episode adds a nice bit of controversy. anyhow, dylan can't mind that much cos he still performs the songs.
would be great to see some ace material from the '74 world tour, rolling thunder (renaldo & clara) and the '78 world tour gigs. between those 3 tours u have some of his greatest live material ever. and of course the nvr ending period should get due attention.-

I keep miss-reading this for 'Dylan to loose his erection again'. Which would, subsequently, be far more interesting.

I wonder if it will be as patently fictional as his (albeit gorgeously written) autobiography.
