Million Dead to split after September tour

Excellent UK rockers Million Dead are to go their separate ways after this month's tour alongside Gay For Johnny Depp. The following is lifted straight from their website:
"Million Dead are breaking up. After four years and two albums, we have mutually decided that this is best thing to do. Irreconcilable differences within the band mean that it would be impossible to continue, and anyway, we’d rather leave a good-looking corpse. Our reasons are personal and assured. Therefore, the upcoming September tour will be our last.
"We’d like to express our deep gratitude to those who worked with and for us over the years, who had faith in us, and without whom we would never have got anywhere. We’d also like to thank all those who bought records, came to shows, and generally gave a shit. We’re still pleasantly surprised that anyone ever did.
"You will no doubt be hearing from some or all of us again at some point in the future."
Those tour dates look something like this:

Ooh, I didn't know about the solo site - saw him do a set at the STA alldayer last year, it was excellent - he played "Sunshine State", one of the tracks on that website. Reckon he could do a decent folky album ;) -

The most gutted i've ever been at anything in music ever.
Everyone get to a date and make as much noise for one of the most exciting and talented bands in British rock for years.

my advice for getting there: as soon as you leave the high street, run run run. then you may try to avoid the rocks being thrown at you on the way. enjoy.

It'll be hard for them NOT to look at each other on stage, but...

But three colours red already split once, so it can't come as that much of a surprise! Am gutted about this though. Personally I'd disagree with whoever said it was good lyrics/shit music - I always thought it was the other way round (although the lyrics are shit in an amusing way).-

It did come as a surprise in a way, and then again it didn't. Last time they were successful when they split... since the reformation they've had an album that sold probably ten copies and the gigs have been increasingly poorly attended after a promising start. But the team spirit seemed much better this time round so I thought they might stick it out, or do what some other bands do which is to go and concentrate on countries where they're doing better...

This really sucks hard. Listening to Harmony No Harmony though, especially the title track, it kinda makes sense to leave it there, content but defiant.

Weirdness: Having not really listened to Million Dead in a while, I had a sudden urge to do so yesterday, and began pondering what direction they'd go in next.
Then found out they'd split earlier today.

This is the worst news ever. So very gutted as they are amazing and so talented. I've seen them 4 times this year and every time was incredible.
