The second Jersey Live Festival takes place on September 3rd 2005 at the Royal Jersey Showground, Trinity. Acts on the bill include Art Brut, The Futureheads, The Bravery and headliners Kasabian.

The all-day event runs from 11 'til 11, and bands are spread across two stages. Full line up, as we know it:

POSITIV MAIN STAGE
KASABIAN
THE BRAVERY
THE FUTUREHEADS
THE ORDINARY BOYS
ART BRUT (pictured)
THE BLACK VELVETS
+ LOCAL SUPPORT ACTS

THEORY DANCE ARENA
2 MANY DJS
WHITEY (LIVE)
THE GLIMMERS
THE MIXOLOGISTS

Last year's event featured The Thrills, Razorlight and The Subways. The festival capacity is, as you'd expect for such an intimate setting, quite small - only 7,500 paying punters will be allowed through the gates. Many off-shore visitors are expected this year, from both Britain and France.

Festival tickets are £28.50 from the official site, JerseyLive. A number of travel deals are available from as little as £99 (ferries departing from Weymouth and Poole). Package deals are available from Sundecker Holidays, click here. Check the festival website for further details and travel/holiday deals.

The Bravery really decided it for me.

Re: Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art B

I found a Bravery slash community on livejournal last night. SCARED MUCH?

Re: Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art B

...I don't even want to know what you were looking for to have found that :|

Re: Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art Brut.

Just one fucking grenade...

...actually, must be realistic - one grenade would never be enough.

Nuke Jersey!

Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art Brut...

apart from 1 or 2 highlights, that has got to be one of the worst line-ups i have EVER seen for a 'mini' festival!!

Re: Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art Brut...

To be fair, Jersey gets almost no live music from outside acts so you can't really blame them for focusing on big names, and for the price and the size of a lot of the bands playing, it's not too bad..

Also, 7500 capacity? There's less than 90,000 on the island in total :P

art brut were brilliant in the rain at summer sundae, would be great to check out again

Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art Brut...

This is NOT flackcaptain, but his t'other half FROM JERSEY.
Jersey sees NO TOURS WHAT-SO-EVER OF BANDS (famous ones)
This is the best offer........poor bastards. Subjected to the subways and pish poor Art Brut. Jesus.
I remember Ocean Colour Scene goign over about 4 years ago, every fucker nearly pissed 'em selves just cos someone had bothered to notice the island. I felt violently ill and left for bigger shores.
My family would die if you nuked jersey............

Re: Jersey Live 2005: Kasabian, The Bravery, Art Brut...

It would be a noble sacrifice.
