Autolux announce July shows

LA rockers Autolux have announced a trio of dates for July. The trio play the following shows in support of their debut album, Future Perfect, due for a UK release through Full Time Hobby on July 18th.

4th MANCHESTER Club NME @ Bierkeller (£5; Tel: 0161 832 1111)
6th LONDON Barfly (XFM Xposure night with The Duke Spirit; Tel: 0870 907 0999)
7th LONDON Legion N1 (Sonic Cathedral Club) (£5; tickets on door only)
Autolux have recently been confirmed as support for Nine Inch Nails' upcoming US tour alongside Queens Of The Stone Age.

Of my two quasi-hometowns, Minneapolis, which is a thirtieth the size of Los Angeles, has produced better bands. Autolux begins to even the score. Hoo-ray for Hollywood!

how funny i got this album today, it was sent to me from someone on ebay in amercia. only cost me £4. it is ace what ive heard, just a shame mancs the closest for me being nearly 2 hours drive!

I've only heard three or four Autolux tracks, but I've been very, very impressed with what I have heard. I have to go and see them in Manchester.

Managed to catch them live three times last year and they never failed to impress. The demo is brilliant, the LP is brilliant, and I'm clearly looking forward to the Duke Spirit show.

does anyone know if autolux are playing the carling weekend? i cant make them gigs, right gutted.

They haven't been confirmed yet so it's highly unlikely. They played the Carling tent last year so I'm not sure if there are rules preventing bands from playing two years in a row?

As far as I know the only Carling Tent rule nowadays is "You must have the same manager/booking agent/etc as a band on the main stages".....non?? ;)
I'm sorely tempted by the gig this weds (thurs may finish too late to get home). Just I would sooner shoot myself in the face than have to suffer the duke fucking spirit again so...hmm..

nah i dont think there's a consecutive year rule or anything, quite a few bands have done it year after year. i think you're right about them not playing this year though. thats proper shit.
