  • !!!

  • Rammstein.

I quite enjoy their records but wouldn't buy any of them. They're great live though.

    • true

i find them a bit tedious on record

    • Big fat ditto

The pyrotechnics and absurd dramatics coupled with his greasy hair and thousands of people rocking out to, what basically is, quite simple ROCK is so appealing.

A friend of mine actually went all the way to Berlin to see them. He said it was AMAZING.

  • Piney Gir

Nervous Testpilot and various other Truck Records acts. I do have records by them but they're not even close to the live shows and I hardly ever listen to them.

  • marilyn manson

used to listen to, never any more.

    • I second

Marilyn Manson, though his live album's great so I do listen to that. His studio albums sound like poo.

  • 65dos

    • ^that

I find them really boring to listen to on CD. But when I went to see them, it was one of, if not the best gig I've ever been to.

  • Chicks on Speed

    • !!!

THE BOREDOMS AND LIGHTNING BOLT still in my top 10 of best bands ive ever seen.if i kept a top 10 that is

      • Brian Jonestown Massacre

Live are so much better than their recorded output.

!!!, THE BOREDOMS AND LIGHTNING BOLT great live and good enough on CD. And with Lightning Bolt you can get the power on Salad DVD

        • THE BOREDOMS AND LIGHTNING BOLT

          are still ace on CD.

Mine: Broken Social Scene, Forward Russia

          • As are !!!

in my opinion (although definitely a fantastic live band)

  • A

Seen them 3 times and always went home happy, but the albums just don't do it for me.

Also the cooper temple clause - as a matter of fact i'm going to see them tonight.

  • The closest I have to that

is iLiKETRAiNS. They're amazing live, but it loses something on record.

    • Jamie Cullum

was AMAZING at Glasto 2 years back. But would I listen to his albums? Would I fuck.

Actually, I've never understood that phrase - "would I fuck"? Well, yes, you probably would, little man. Now run on home.

      • my biggest one would be

        papa roach

        • Thats a pretty big one

though their new single has grown on me quite a bit

          • just stop listening to it

            stop now.

            • the neighbours have it on at least twice a day

..perhaps i should cut their power?

              • KILL THEM

                with bombs

                • Dropkick Murphys

                  and Fantomas.

                  Yep

                  • I wouldn't say never listen to on CD

but I don't listen to a great deal of "post rock" on CD but live it was be amazing-o

        • Ugh

Papa Roach? I don't know... They've grown really preppy and annoying. They used to be hardcore as fuck but now...

  • MUSE

    and

    DFA 1979 (for a while)
    Kasabian

I can't believe I just wrote 'Kasabian' but they are . . quite a good laugh live, or have been when I've gone before.

  • AC/DC

    Rammstein
    Slipknot
    Symposium (when they were going)

    • muse,

and mogwai. mogwai are so much better live when you've not been meticulously studying the records. the element of surprise in their music is key for me.

    • ??

you don't listen to AC/DC at home?!?
I can understand not listening to modern AC/DC albums... but what is life for is you can't blast a little 'Back In Black' once every couple of weeks?

    • Slipnot is pretty good on CD

You can't get half the sounds live that you can on a CD.

  • Mine would be...

    Hawthorne Heights
GWAR (I hate them but a show would be insane...)
    Papa Roach
    Aiden (They suck...)

    Thats pretty much it...
