Enter Shikari to headline Astoria
Enter Shikari are the first unsigned band to headline the London Astoria since the now defunct The Darkness achieved the feat in 2003.
Having previously been slated to play the smaller sister venue next door The Mean Fiddler, on November 4, the young Hertfordshire quartet upgraded the show after tickets sold out earlier today. It is a quite marvellous achievement that has come from the band relentlessly touring every town in the land. The pocketful of gimmicks they come equipped with just smoothed the ride.
All existing tickets are valid for the upgrade, of course, and more have been put on sale. Also playing the gig are :( and Penknifelovelife.

when i heard they mixed hardcore and trance
i was hoping they would do stuff like the prodigy's 'no good' with death metal growling, instead of the high pitched singing. but, sadly no. they're just a shite hardcore band with a keyboard

People got none. Irrespective of whether it's your cup of tea, m**therf**ckers, this really IS a band doing it for themselves the underground way. At least recognise it and show some appreciation. Once upon a time it was metal that was the corporate whore, but today it's indie punk/pop like Razorsh**e. Whether this band are good or bad, it's sad that the principle is not respected... or do we no longer rage against the machine?

This band are terrible! Bad hardcore, bad singing and bad trance! Bad, bad, bad!
The only thing worse than their music is the way they make out like they're 'doing it for themselves' when in reality one of their dads funded every tour until they signed a record deal worth about three quarters of a million quid, then went in kErrang! claiming to have shunned label interest to 'set up their own label'.
doubtless their releases will come out on 'their own' label which in reality will be a vanity imprint of a major, with no mention of the major label's name on it (like Rancid did a few years ago). Utter cunts!
