PJ Harvey begins work on piano album
Posted: 11 Oct '06, 14:17
Good news, everyone! PJ Harvey is working on a new record. Huzzah.
The as-yet-untitled album is expected to be released next year. Harvey has decided to write all of the new songs at the piano, rather than on a guitar. Which should make for some very pretty listening, no?
Joining her in the studio next month will be John Parish and Flood.
In totally unrelated news, I'm listening to the new Blood Brothers album, right now. It's well good, actually. Yes, actually. Huzzah.

whatever happend to YAY an artist gets creative - cool- attitude?
So far PJ has not let me down with whatever strikes her musical fancy so I am going to be looking fw to it even if she brings out an all ukulele music album. Why is everyone so down on artists trying to explore new musical routes for themselves? That used to be considered somethign to run to the shops for rather than bitch on the couch about

Yann Tiersen?

Well, I for one will say YAY -
news of any new PJ Harvey is good news, and who gives a fuck what instrument she's playing? SHE'S GOOD AT ALL OF THEM.
Possibly not drums, though.
