Posters

My Uni room badly needs brightening up
so does anyone know any websites that sell reasonably cheap musicy posters/prints? I'm not ready to those awful studenty posters yet :(

  • buy some paper

    make your own

  • steal them

    off walls at gigs.

  • Get posters that promote drink/driving and if you do drink, dont do drunk

Its ironic for a student to have non?

  • Gaurdian Wall Charts

    Awesome. I have trees.

    • Stick cool fliers of bands/gigs/events on ya wall

      they can look studenty

    • ...

      allposters.com

      and

      pushposters.com

I think. I have used neither for years.

    • I have space!

    • i have birds

    • I love the Gaurdian wall charts

We have the Land mammals of Britain one up in our living room

  • Just stick all of your

gig tickets on the wall and make somekind of monster collage thing.

  • there was a guy on here who sold some

I got a fugazi and an evens one. yes.

    • I have been

looking for a reallt cool poster or a piece of art for my lounge and i noticed 'the cool hand luke' poster on montys wall in '25th' hour, and that gave me some cracking inspiration!

ordered the poster and then i will get it framed!

    • You mean blindjoedeath

      here: http://www.gigposters.com/designers.php?designer=41189
They're really good, I have three, keep meaning to order more. I think they were 3 for a tenner.

  • right

    -find a good picture

    -upload it here: http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

-print the resulting pdfs out on some other chump's printer

    -awesome walls achieved

i did this with a huge smashing pumpkins poster when i was at uni, it filled the whole wall.

    • wow

does that really work? like can i rasterbate photos and not have the shitty quality issues?

      • it's really good

it basically turns images into a series of dots of varying size, like when you look at a comic really close-up. i would use it for seriously detailed work but it's good for the iconic images that are usually found on posters etc.

        • still worth me downloading

          for photoshop backgrounds?

          • maybe

it could look decent. you mean for behind 3d building mock-ups? possibly.

you don't download it though, just use it online. you might need to mess with print screen as i think it only does pdfs.

            • photoshop can import pdfs

              and you can download it.

i just want it for putting background photos onto big sheets of presentation things.

i'll give it a go, if it works i love you (more than i do already...)

    • Woah, thats great

I wonder how much printer ink is required.
      I might try this.

    • As if!

Makes me wish i had a printer.

  • looky

    http://www.honeyisfunny.com/

has some ace posters. They're cheap too. As created by someone from the band Lords who posts here sometimes. I hope it's ok to plug his stuff!

    • oh

already been mentioned, oops. That's a good site to look at em anyway.

      • Argh

that gigposters site is really good thanks, but totally far too much choice to make a decision.

        • Re stealing posters from walls

That is why I had a Giant Robot poster on my wall.

Those who live in the southwest will lose respect for me for admitting not only that I went to Giant Robot, but that I liked it enough to steal a poster....

  • You're odd

I really like the sparse nothingness of my walls. Why would you want to corrupt that?

  • SERIPOP!!!

    although they're possibly too bright.
