Justin Hawkins: tackles donut, breaks ribs for afters

One severly battered frontman shorn of ego and broken of ribs.
Justin Hawkins was - for reasons that aren't entirely clear - enjoying a ride on a giant inflatable donut (not pictured) pulled by a speed boat when he came unstuck.
He suffered broken ribs and torn muscles in his legs. Ouch. We'd tell you more but frankly we can't be bothered to actually buy The Sun, where this was originally reported. So nerrr...
In related news (and also from the above red-top rag)
Hawkins has devised a celebrity darts show where 15 celebrities will toss arrows alongside 'professionals'.
Hawkins intends to present the show, Fame On (a play on the "game on" call at the start of a darts match), himself. He told The Sun:
"I'm talking to various darts pros and we'll get it made before the end of the year.
"I've got a darts shrine in my house - a professional board, mat, an electronic counter and various bits of memorabilia."
DiScuss: Completely off the subject of music it may be, but wasn't Bullseye great? Big Break, too, if only it didn't have that twit Davidson presenting it. What pub 'sport' would you like to see made into a television show?

Yeah Justin: Take you're time recovering, you know, don't feel the need to hurry back to the recording studio. I know you're the "saviour of rock" and all but, like, feel free to die, or something.

I wonder if Georgie 'The Puppy' Noble will do a spot of refereeing?
If I was going on, I'd want to partner Steve 'The Adonis' Beaton, or maybe Dutchman Co Stompe, with his unusual throwing style. -

who remembers fun house? now that was a game show. Pat Sharpe with his mullet, genius. Wasn't really a fan of big break, but bullseye rocked as did blockbusters (p please bob!) and going for gold with henry kelly. Classic! -

Yeah, I second that. Clearly he took a hefty knock on the bonce in his accident - (more) fucking DARTS on the telly?! I'd rather listen to the Darkness than see another chunk of TV output given over to 'sport'. Did you watch the London Marathon? Really? Crikey, you need to get out more. Snooze... -

i'm quite intruiged by this. what the hell actually happened to him? did he hit a rock or something? or bounce out into the boat in front of him? i've been in those thigns before, and its bloody difficult to fall out and even more difficult, i'd imagine, to break ribs when falling out. and catchphrase, now that was a classy game show. Roy Walker, the man is a legend. -
