Incubus have revealed details about their fifth studio album, Light Grenades.
The follow-up to the 2004 long-player A Crow Left Of The Murder is to be released in the middle of November. Singer Brandon Boyd revealed the following in a statement...
"It kicks, it bites, it loves, it hurts. It's the closest we've ever come to being the band we want to be.
"It sounds like 13 different bands playing 13 different songs," added guitarist Mike Einzinger to MTV.com.
"Every time we're about to start making a new album, I tell myself, 'Okay, this one's going to be cohesive', and it never happens. That's who we are as a band, and that's kind of how we are as people."
"It's the closest we've ever come to being the band we want to be."
Would that be a silent one....?
*Prays to god*
(Well apart from 'Are You In' thats a good song....)
thats a terrible, terrible song
the worst of that year, i'd say.
"It sounds like 13 different bands playing 13 different songs,"
So... it's like a NOW album? I'll pass thanks.
Which of these will be the most correct
I say 'it bites'. Or possibly 'it hurts'.
...
Incubus are a good enough band technically for me to like, but I can't... I just can't...
...or maybe I can...
...no, I can't....
Curious to hear this...
...wasn't too keen on the last one.
Light grenades
Maybe they've decided to go political, that seems to sell good theses days
Make yourself
Was the last passable album everything since has been shite, they seem to have managed to regress musically? is it just lazyness cos they've made there fortune? seems alot of bands tread this path! Metallica, rhcp, U2 Korn etc etc
Errr...
...considering Pop was four albums ago, I'd say U2 are pretty much on the up. Chilis followed the god-awful One Hot Minute with career-defining Californication too.
REM
would perhaps fall into the aforementioned grouping, much as I love them...
Agreed.
I TRIED to like Around the Sun, I really did.
Reveal was ace though.
ah
i really do love R.E.M, but the last two just did nothing for me.
Should of called it quits after "Up," which to me seems like the perfect end to an incredible career.
Urrm yeah, Incubus? tevers.
bullshit
BUUUUULLLLLLLSHIT!
(the comment about the Chillis
that is
Wow.
Excellent reply related to musical issues and opinions.
i really enjoyed
one hot minute!
they have written
a top dancefloor filler - I Wanna Be A Hot Dancer!
..."It Sucks"
tis a good song
12 yrs old tho :) at least
I used to be a really big fan of this band
but I'm not too hyped up about the prospect of a new record. Something tells me it will just be bland and boring. S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Make Yourself were wicked though. Everything since has just been painfully mediocre.
agreed
waht it says above
favourite. band. ever
i hate this band
i realise this is brusma's blindingly obvious statement #361 of the year, but i feel better for having typed it. yeah.
I like
Incubus.
Hopefully this record will be ace, and be the album that makes me LOVE incubus
The Warmth is a beutiful song
Different strokes...
I for one like them and look forward to the new album. Crow Left of the Murder is always being played in my house.
loved first three albums
sick sad little world on last album was ace too, reminded me of tortoise a little.
...
Fifth?? They've already got 6 albums.
They've had 5 album's so far
and this would be their fifth STUDIO album because I'm guessing that Fungus Amongus wasn't a studio album seeing as it was recorded before they were signed.
I'm sorry
U2 haven't done anything worthwhile in ages, pop four albums ago!!! exactly four whole albums!!! everything they do now makes me cringe and I certainly wouldn't say they are on the up!!!???? as for the chilli's californication isn't career defining just cos it rejuvinated there career, it's embarrassingly two dimensional and is divoid of anything remotely creative they are just following old formulas, one hot minust is much better, I used to love Incubus when science came out they we're probably my fav band at teh time but with every new album their sound gets watered down and the ideas less interesting and the musicianship seems to have hit a plateau, it;s like they can;t be bothered anymore and are just churning out anything cos they know people will buy it, I hate it when perfectly good bands stop pushing themselves, Morning view I took back to the shop I was so dissapointed it reminds me of a really weak tasteless cup of tea.
Incubus
might have a song or two I wouldn't completely despise if it were for Brandon Boyd and his grating and infuriating abortion of a voice.
