“We speak through silence…”
Forming in the suburban town of Crawley 18 months ago, Through Silence wasted little time in making big and bold impressions on the UK’s music scene. Winning a local battle of the bands at what was only their third live appearance, the grapevine soon became red hot with chatter about this emerging new talent. By the summer of 2002 - a mere four months into their life as a band - the word had spread across the Atlantic, and the quartet secured a deal with USA based management daddies Freeze.
Nationwide support slots with the likes of The Used, Boysetsfire, Death By Stereo, Number One Son, Hot Water Music, and Skindred soon followed. The band have also been featured in Rocksound magazine’s ‘Exposure’ section and most recently an ‘On the Road’ tour interview piece. In a further example of Through Silence’s mass appeal, the bands debut single (released March 2003 through BSM Recordings) was soon A-listed on Total Rock Radio. Also achieving the number one position in the station’s request chart - a position it maintained for over a fortnight- the success of ‘Two Words One Girl’ on Total Rock set a precedent for unsigned bands in the UK. Most recently, Through Silence were also featured on the PRP’s prestigious ‘Learning Curve’ section, a much coveted piece of international exposure reserved for only the finest UK acts.
‘Two Words One Girl’ is the ideal prologue to a magnificent success story of a band whose dedication and passion for music and commitment to the scene will only take them to great places.
Most recently, Through Silence have recorded two new tracks, ‘Perfect White’ and ‘Incarambience’, proving that the band’s songwriting ability is truly soaring!
The story of Through Silence so far is one of a rapid rise, and this is only the beginning, so strap in, hold tight, and watch them soar.....
