Setting up their own studio in the basement of their South London house, they changed their name from Lynam to The Lazarus Effect, a reference to the biblical character who was brought back from the dead.
Over the course of the last year the band have played many gigs all over London. At a recent gig in August 2003 they supported Lupine Howl (which features ex-Spiritualised members Sean Cook and Mike Mooney) and won over many new followers. In order to capitalise on this, they have begun work on their second release, the yet-to-be-released 'Every Revolution Needs A Leader' EP.
The Lazarus Effect received its first public radio airing on Sound AM with two of its unreleased recordings. This was followed by a highly favourable review of some their other material on the popular indie music website www.pennyblackmusic.com.
