Sheepdug

Brief band history:

Sheepdug formed in 1995 with one major intention - "to write great acoustic and electric music with no barriers and no commercial pressures".

Since their inception Sheepdug have recorded over 50 songs profesionally to date (February 2001) with legendary Producer BONE (artists recorded include John Martyn, Chris Chavez, Shine, Sweet F.A. and a cast of thousands !).

Sheepdug have now committed what they feel are the best tracks from these sessions and have released a full album 'The Vinyl Front Ear' - a musical acoustic/electric journey ! - via www.peoplesound.com

Band members:

Sheepdug consist of mainly two members Sheepdug and Reg (previous/present bands include : Choice Spirit, Brutal Goose, Wood, Fury, Instinct, Sioux Nation, Transaudio...etc...) - who have extensive live and recording experience (venues performed in include : King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Cathouse, Nice N Sleazy etc....) but have included a forever rotating door of musos and artists including Bone, Fonz Plod, Pol Kane, Quothe, Stevie Johnson and "B" !...to name check a few talented individuals.....

Plans for the near future:

Post 2001 sees Sheepdug pushing back new boundaries including building websites, signing deals and publishing songs via the internet on www.peoplesound.com , www.vitaminic.com and www.mp3.com to spread and make the music accessible as possible to a wider audience.

Sheepdug have also submitted and been accepted on a series of compilation albums currently being produced for release later this year (2001) including a Wildhearts tribute compilation album.

Having Released 'The Vinyl Front Ear' in February 2001 Sheepdug are now looking forward to the release of album number two - 'Sombre Positivity'. And on the future scenario this may also involve live gigs.......vuf !
