" Ok it all started in August 1998 when Del and me met in College. We got talking over many joints about what we liked to listen to. We quickly realized that we were both into the same shit. Soon after we met we began to jam together and liked what we did so much that we decided to form a band. At first there was 3: Del, a drummer named Barry Allen and me. This lasted about 2 weeks, as Barry couldn't make rehearsal every week. Del and me kept rehearsing though and began to form a guitar sound and a set list that we both liked. We also began forming a basic philosophy of what the band was all about i.e.. To only do what we enjoyed doing and not to bow down just to be accepted. We knew we had to be picky about other band members, as we wanted the right people with the right attitude at all costs. At this point we were known as Jesus Cono (Cono is Spanish for cunt). This is when shit started to happen. Up until this time we had been advertising for other members, we got 2 phone calls, 1 from an aging bass player who after 1 rehearsal just didn't fit the bill and 1 from a drummer who we never even met. It was round about this time I was doing sound for a band named Blue Orbit when I learned that the drummer of Blue Orbit was into music of a heavier slant (Barry came up to the desk and asked if I had any Korn or Sepultura). Barry (the drummer) came along to a rehearsal one week and fitted in perfectly, we were now a 3 piece. A few things changed at this time: We changed the name of the band to SETH and we got 7 STRINGS! We jammed for a few months and brought in another bass player but he couldn't commit and he left. One day when Barry was in College he got talking to a fellow class member about bands. Mark (the fellow class member) happened to say that he was a singer (if you can call it singing) and that he was looking for a band. Eventually Barry brought Mark to a rehearsal to sing, and could this boy roar! Mark settled in very quickly and installed a work ethic that we needed. He also provided all the criticism and encouragement needed to keep me, Del and Barry on the rails (well almost on the rails). Full of confidence we set about working our riffs off to create a band. Enter Greig (bass player), we had actually heard about Greig about 2 years before when we first started the band. It also turns out that we are actually from the same island although he escaped when he was 2. Greig was basically the missing link in the band he fitted in perfectly. We are now writing our own songs and playing gigs."
