Plans and Apologies

Bio

[Edit this profile]
Formed in 2002, Plans and Apologies are a seven-piece band based around three guitarists' interweaving chiming arpeggios. Combining folksy melodies with intensely personal lyrics, they create intimate stories varying musically from quiet reflection to blistering rage. The band lineup is:

French Dave Williams : Guitar + Vocals (19)
Roland Antonelli : Guitar (18)
Miikhul Dastardly : Vocals + Noises (19)
Dan Wheeler : Guitar + Vocals (18)
Stephen Mansfield : Bass (18)
Daniel Beizsley : Drums (17)
Robin Newman : Synths (20)

Their live shows have a righteous fervour, with each of the vocalists testifying and trading confessions. Totally self-absorbed and yet connecting with the audience who take over when the singers miss their mics in the frenzy.

Their influences include Pavement, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel and Fugazi. Their debut album, 'Torn Out Pages From The Middle Agez', showcases Plans and Apologies' broad songwriting range, introduced via the slow-building rush of 'poetry' and ending with the summery shimmer of 'Ginger Jimmy Jackson'. Plans and Apologies are immune to Chinese burns.
