Mrs. Pilgrimm has spent a lot of time in Europe but recently decided to bring her sounds back home to the UK and see where they take her. She plays the cello and she plays it very well. She does not play in a classical style, but more in a jazz fashion: Charles Mingus has been a great influence on her. She plays with a sensibility and understanding of music that is a fine tonic to the listeners ear... and she can rock too. Oh my, can she rock. Her voice is really very beautiful and quite unique. Pushed to comparisons, we would have to bring in Bjork, if for no other reason that her pioneering strengths as a female artist and vocalist. For fans of Jazz and of out-post tethered, post-jazz-rock.
