Bio

[Edit this profile]

Formed in Athens, Georgia way back in 1994, the indie lo-fi collective of Elf Power are part of the Elephant Six collective, who also spawned The Apples In Stereo, The Neutral Milk Hotel and The Olivia Tremor Control amongst others.

Despite releasing no less than seven studio albums, their most recent being 2006's Back To The Web, Elf Power are probably best known for being part of Oxford label Shifty Disco's singles club in 2000. Due to the collaborative nature of the project and the endlessly changing line-up, there's no way to predict which is accurate (their myspace, for example, shows a totally different line-up to their press release). The mainstays in the band are founding members Andrew Reiger (songwriting/vocals) and Laura Carter (accordion/keyboards).
