Southampton four piece Delays released their debut single 'Nearer Than Heaven' on 21.4.2003 through Rough Trade records. The band has just signed a deal with Geoff Travis's label, home to the The Strokes and The Libertines.

'Nearer Than Heaven' is a classic piece of guitar pop, think Shack meets The Hollies meets Cocteau Twins and you're close to the mark. The band will be releasing their debut album this summer and touring extensively around the UK. Tour dates to be announced soon.

The band all met at school and shared a love of Twin Peaks, The Prisoner, The La's and Diego Maradonna!

Delays have already supported The Coral, Mull Historical Society, The Thrills and McAlmont & Butler.
