“All the best female fronted pop-songs ever (Atomic, Kids In America, anything involving Gwen Stefani) mashed up and sung out by an indie Alison Goldfrapp in a stripy prom dress" - NME

Dead Disco, aka Victoria Hesketh (vocals), Marie France (bass) and Lucy Catherwood (guitar), first arrived on the scene in 2006 with the James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco) produced limited issue debut ‘The Treatment’ in early 2006, which instantly filled indie dance floors up and down the country including heavy rotation at London’s Trash.

Dead Disco, the band say, represent “that bit in between” – in between the rock bands who sound like pop groups, and the pop groups who sound like rock bands. ‘You’re Out’ (single, July 9, 2007) completely embodies that notion, occupying as it does an effortless and convincing middle ground without compromise. The larger than life pop-hooks, the spiky guitars, the sassy lyrics and the ridiculous immediacy, ‘You’re Out’ is a crossover smash in waiting.
