Barfly are a north west based band who have been together for two years. In this time they have fashioned their own distinct style of indie music, centred around brilliantly melodic tunes and outstanding vocal performance. Their songs weave a silken path from the high energy of in-your-face anthems to the refined simplicity of the acoustic medium. Their influences are diverse, yet their sound stands alone; fresh, singular, different. It's Northern, it's new, it's relevant. The skyscrapers are calling, Cool Britannia is dying, so let's all get one massive piece of sellotape and heal the crack in the Union Jack. As Winston Churchill would say if he were alive today: get me outta this fucking coffin. At least that's what their website says.
